Managing Partner
Jim Tracey is the founder and Managing Partner of Tracey Business Advisors Inc. (“TBA”), opening an advisory practice in 2003. Jim has extensive experience in providing expertise in business valuations, litigation support including mediation and arbitration, consultation and expert testimony, transaction advisory services throughout the various stages of structuring and negotiating a deal, due diligence, business plans, financing, strategic planning, forecasts and projections, recruitment, and a range of roles to offer support to CFOs.
Prior to founding TBA, Jim was the Vice-President, Finance at A.P. Plasman Corporation for 10 years as well as worked several years in public accounting in London and Windsor, with the vast majority of his time specializing in financial advisory services.
Jim is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant (1990) and a Chartered Business Valuator (1994). Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Accounting (1990) from the University of Waterloo.
Jim has spent over 15 years volunteer coaching youth soccer and baseball teams in LaSalle as well as is a guest speaker for a law school course at the University of Windsor related to valuations.
Partner
Cindy is a Partner at Tracey Business Advisors Inc. (“TBA”) with over 12 years with TBA. Cindy provides a leadership role in business valuations and litigation support. Cindy specializes in business valuations, income calculations for child and spousal support, business interruption loss calculations, due diligence, business plans, cash flow projections, and various financial analysis projects as required by our clients.
Prior to joining TBA, Cindy practiced in public accounting at KPMG for over 15 years and was appointed partner in 2001. During this time, she provided accounting and assurance services to private and public corporations as well as municipalities, utilities, colleges and universities, and non-profit organizations.
Cindy is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant (1992) with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Windsor (1989).
Community involvement revolves around individuals with special needs. Cindy is the Treasurer for the Windsor-Essex Down Syndrome Association for over 15 years and is a former Treasurer of the John McGivney Childrens’ Centre, serving for 10 years.
Manager
Samantha is a manager at Tracey Business Advisors Inc. (“TBA”) working directly with our clients in preparing business valuations, income calculations for child and spousal support, cash flow projections, compilation of documents for due diligence procedures and various financial analysis projects. Samantha has served clients in a wide variety of industries.
Prior to joining TBA, Samantha worked at BDO LLP and Hicks Macpherson Iatonna Driedger LLP, serving accounting and assurance clients for over 7 years.
Samantha is a Chartered Professional Accountant (2020) with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce (2017) from the University of Windsor. She is currently pursuing her Chartered Business Valuator designation.
Volunteer activities include coaching with the Lakeshore Lightning Girls Hockey Association.
Manager
Courtney is a manager at Tracey Business Advisors Inc. (“TBA”) working directly with our clients in preparing business valuations, income calculations for child and spousal support, compilation of documents for due diligence procedures, and various financial analysis projects.
Prior to joining TBA Courtney provided accounting and assurance services to clients at Roth Mosey & Partners for over 5 years.
Courtney is a Chartered Professional Accountant (2022) with a Master of Business Administration (2021) and Honours Bachelor of Commerce (2020) from the University of Windsor. She is currently pursuing her Chartered Business Valuator designation.
Courtney volunteers to provide various administrative and financial tasks for the Windsor-Essex Down Syndrome Association.
